With over 100 gates at three domestic and one international terminal, this airport 15 miles south of San Francisco in San Mateo County offers service on some 35 airlines to cities throughout the world. AirTrain, SFO's new fully automated people mover, offers convenient access between terminals, parking garages, rental car center, and the SFO BART Station. SamTrans and BART offer public transit service to SFO. The latter's new SFO Station connects air passengers to its rail service throughout San Mateo, San Francisco, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties (SFO BART Station Overview). Other ground transportation to destinations throughout the Bay Area include: Airporters, Door-to-Door Vans, Taxis, Limousines and charter operators.
