The Dumbarton Express bus service begins at Union City BART station in the East Bay. The lines DB, DB1 and DB3 provide weekday transbay bus service from Union City, Fremont, and Newark, across the Dumbarton bridge, to East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, downtown Palo Alto, Palo Alto Caltrain Station and Stanford Industrial Park. A consortium of AC Transit, BART, SamTrans, Union City Transit and Valley Transportation Authority provide the DB Express Service.
